Sometimes summer holidays aren't the greatest at our house. That's what happens when you are in the Shaved Ice business! I don't fault Daren. He works so hard and makes it possible for me to be at home with the girls. I do, however, enjoy his company. So, when we were able to fit the North Logan Breakfast and parade into our schedule, I was pleased to say the least. Libby was a cowgirl in the parade-- forget that bonnet and dress stuff!! Noelle was shy as usual. She only enjoys parades from a distance. You can see in one photo that she spent a lot of time cuddling with Daren.

Libby learns to ride a bike
I'm late in the game on this post, but didn't want to forget to record a significant event. I have successfully taught Libby how to ride her bike without training wheels. I know I don't deserve much credit, because she is the talented one, but there isn't much as mother that you see direct results from, so I'm claiming this one.
Libby also played soccer this spring and I was her coach. What a circus that was! I had fun doing it, and by the end those kids had actually figured out the game of soccer. Libby made some goals, got caught in several Spring storms, and made some new soccer friends. It was a good experience overall.
One of these photos shows Noelle on her trike. It has since been run over. She LOVED that trike. I did too! We are thankful no one was on the trike when Daren ran it over, but still sad to see it ruined. That trike was a find from the dump-- no I'm not joking, it was literally found, in pristine condition, at the dump by Daren (he was unloading some trash).

Potty training
What kind of life do I lead, if I blog about potty training?!? A darn good one I suppose. It's an unfortunate fact of life, every child has to be potty trained. NOT FUN!!! I have been attempting to potty train Noelle for 2 weeks now. Most of today she absolutely refused to go potty and ended up wearing a diaper. Until about 3 in the afternoon, when she decided she would go "stinky winky" in her toilet without my help. That was fun to clean up (she "wiped" herself). I did, however, praise her for going in the potty and not on the carpet. This is getting a little graphic. I need to move on.
I was getting the girls ready for bed just now and they were brushing their teeth so well. I was so proud, then I turned my head and saw that Noelle was dipping her toothbrush in the toilet and then brushing!!! I hope she doesn't get some funky mouth disease. I can't seem to escape the topic of toilet. I better be done for the night.
