One giant post!

I haven't posted on the blog for quite a while. So, here is a post of what has been going on the last couple of months. Here are some photos of Libby and Noelle's dance recital. They did such a great job! I love to watch my girls dance.

It's garage sale season again and I found some sweet fabric scraps at one of the yard sales. I decided to see if I could put them together as skirts for the girls. I think they turned out pretty sweet. I had fun making the headbands too.

Last day of school party. Camping (Daren style) in the front room.

We had smoothies and watched Dukes of Hazard. Does it get any better than that?

Libby on the last day of school.

Sunday Best

Noelle's preschool graduation

Daren's birthday. He loves lemon squares, so he got that instead of cake. The candles were suppose to be trick candles (this is what Noelle was anticipating)but Dadddy packs a powerful punch because he blew out the candles and the went out for good. Bummer, we were all ready to trick him!

Libby's second grade program. I had to create a headband for her that made it look like she had just been squirted with ketchup. It wasn't my crowning achievement, but it made her happy. I also made both the headbands pictured below. They are much cuter than the ketchup!

I've posted dental pictures before, but it continues to be one of the girls favorite games so you get to see more. This time they hauled in a chair (a nice dirty one, I might add) from the garage that they felt was the perfect one for dental procedures. Hey, their teeth sure are clean!

More Ellie tricks, my husband is great, and I'm feeling nostalgic

Today is one of those days when I am very aware of how fast my girls are growing. These pictures are just a small sampling of a period of time that I thought would never end (in a good and bad way). When we moved to Logan the girls were close to the ages they are in these photos. It was a challenging time with Noelle's allergies/health problems, remodeling a house, and trying to adjust after the move. I focused on the challenges and never even took the time to think about the fact that the girls wouldn't stay this way; Libby's innocence wouldn't last, Noelle wouldn't stay a baby forever, etc. It's okay that they are growing because that is fun to watch too, but I sure miss their cuddles, kisses, chubby baby legs, and unconditional love!

Did I mention my husband is great? Why yes, I did. I was struggling getting everyone ready for church and Noelle wanted to wear a pair of leggings that had a hole in the knee. Daren took control of the situation and mended the pants while I got ready! I didn't even know he knew how to sew! What a man!

And for anyone who was wondering... Noelle is not just a one time bathroom reader. She was headed off to do her "business" the other day but she first stopped to ask me where her chapter book was! Next, it was time for a bath. She only had three requests: Rubber Ducky playing on the CD player (on repeat), her rubber duckies, and she wanted me to leave the bathroom! Through the bathroom door I got to listen to Rubber Ducky (as sung by Voice Male) at least 15 times. It was excellent.

Our Noelle

Below are some pictures from Noelle's 5th birthday. She had a fun, little party with her friends and she celebrated with family too! I have to share my favorite story of Noelle since she has turned five. The other night we were waiting for Noelle to come and join us so we could read scriptures and put her in bed. I knew she was in the bathroom, but she was taking a LONG time. Finally, I went in to check on her. There she was, my sweet little girl "reading" a 455 page book entitled "Great Western Stories". Don't think that she is a super genius. She really doesn't know how to read yet. However, she did say to me, "Look Mom these are the same words." She pointed to two spots on the page where the name Zane appeared. If it was appropriate I would have taken a photo. Such a classic moment!

More Snow?!?

More fort building- this time in Grandma and Grandpas yard and with cousins!

Tanner and Libby displaying the "keystone" piece. (Libby had her face painted earlier that day).

Yowza Patch!

Presidents Day Sunshine

Presidents Day was gorgeous. We couldn't help but spend some time outside. It was perfect snow for building and the sun was shining and felt so nice.

My Little Munchkin

Libby was a munchkin in The Wizard of Oz at Sky View. She had so much fun performing and we had so much fun watching her! I wish we could of taken a photo of everyone else that came to see the play (Jeff & Audrey plus fam, Grandma and Grandpa Jack, etc)
